The Ring of Hope: A Symbolic Design by Kosar Sivandi

A Unique Blend of Light and Darkness

The ring of hope tells the story of the coronavirus pandemic through its intricate design, created by the talented designer Kosar Sivandi. This symbolic ring, aptly named "Hope," showcases the contrast between light and darkness, representing the challenges we have faced and the optimism for brighter days ahead.

The design of the ring of hope consists of two distinct parts—the outer surface and the inner surface. The outer surface, adorned with black enamel, symbolizes the darkness and represents the virus that has impacted our lives. On the other hand, the inner surface of the ring radiates with diamond jewels and a yellow diamond in the center, symbolizing the sun and hope. The yellow diamond represents health and vitality, reminding us to strive for a better future.

One of the unique features of this design is the two different levels of the ring. The outer surface resembles a box with a hinge that connects the upper and lower parts, creating a visual representation of the contrast between night and day. Opening the box allows the transformation from darkness to the light of the sun of hope, emphasizing the power of positivity and resilience.

The ring of hope measures 2.5cm in width, 2.5cm in depth, and 4cm in height. It is crafted using silver, gold, yellow diamonds, diamonds, black enamel, and a hinge mechanism. The combination of these materials adds to the elegance and sophistication of the design, making it a truly remarkable piece of jewelry.

Throughout the design process, Kosar Sivandi faced various challenges. One of the initial hurdles was choosing the right name that would effectively convey the concept and meaning of the ornament. The designer wanted to create a design that would challenge the audience's perception by juxtaposing the themes of good and bad. Additionally, finding the perfect jewel for the outer surface proved to be a challenge, leading to the use of black enamel, which created a stunning effect on the ring.

The ring of hope not only serves as a beautiful piece of jewelry but also carries a profound message. It reminds us of the resilience of the human spirit and the power of hope during challenging times. As we continue to navigate the uncertainties of the pandemic, this design serves as a symbol of strength and optimism for a brighter future.

The ring of hope project began in September 2020 in Sirjan and was completed in October 2021. The meticulous attention to detail and the designer's dedication are evident in every aspect of this design.

This exceptional design has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in the Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design category in 2022. The award acknowledges the outstanding creativity and ingenuity of the design, showcasing the designer's technical and artistic skills. The ring of hope exemplifies the integration of art, science, design, and technology, contributing to the improvement of our quality of life.
